Your bank data will be encrypted and protected by the security system SSL (Secure Socket Layer). Your details are never disclosed to the StepArt Company and remain on the HSBC bank's secure website as in accordance with the data protection act.
The payment process begins with choosing which credit card you want to use; Visa or Eurocard / Master Card. This triggers the request for payment from the StepArt server to the server of our bank HSBC.
You will then leave StepArt's website and be redirected to the secure server of the HSBC bank. All information exchanged is then encrypted using a 128-bit SSL protocol to ensure confidentiality.
All you have to do then is to enter your credit card number, the expiry date and the Visual Cryptogram on the back of your credit card. Via the 3D secure system, HSBC then sends a request for approval of the transaction amount to the Credit Card Network, it then checks your card details, it's presence on the list of fraudulent, lost or stolen cards... If your credit card is equiped with a 3D secure system, you shall be redirected to the login page of your bank.
That website will then display an electronic ticket. The ticket tells you that the transaction has been successfully recorded (or refused), recalls the amount, currency and number of your transaction plus the address of StepArt's website. It will also indicate the time, date and bank authorization number.
